Cataract Surgery Initiative for 1000 people in Gambia

Before the surgeries, a two-person team from Hasene International visited Gambia for initial assessments. They met with representatives of the local partner organisation and made the necessary preparations to ensure the smooth execution of the operations.



The Hasene team also visited the Turkish Embassy in Gambia. During the visit, they met with Mr. Fahri Türker Oba, the Turkish Ambassador to the Republic of Gambia. The meeting discussed the progress of the cataract surgeries in Gambia and emphasised the importance of such humanitarian aid projects.



Message of Thanks After the Surgeries

After the preparations, the first surgeries began and were completed successfully. Following the successful surgeries, a thank you message was published through the official account of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Banjul.
